Drawstring Bag  with Heart Applique

        Easy sewing pattern with boxed corners.   Appliqué sewing skills required for the heart shape, otherwise basic sewing skills will suffice.

 * Fat Quarter (FQ) is a piece of quilt fabric 18” by 21”

Alternatively 10” by 20” fabric pieces can be used.

 Material requirements:

1 x FQ fabric for outer bag, cotton or linen

1 x 5” square of Liberty London Lawn for appliqué

10” square piece or fabric for appliqué

1 x 5” by 18” strip of fabric for drawstring channel

1 x FQ fabric for lining

 10” by 21” piece of Thermolam 272 batting by Vilene/Vliseline

* In the USA know as Pellon where it is also available as a single sided fusible, so get a fusible variety if available.

1½yds shoe lace cotton cord
