This drawstring bag has an oval shaped base which gives it a lovely smooth & rounded shape.

Skill level: intermediate to advanced. Not recommended for beginner level unless you can already stitch a curved seam.

Fabric requirements:

9” by 42” total area of assorted cotton fabrics. Fabric scarps would be great.

5” by 7” piece of feature fabric for outer base

10” by 10” fabric piece for drawstring channels

10” by 21” of lining fabric

5” by 7” piece of feature fabric for lining base

10” by 30” of Thermolam 272 batting by Vilene (Pellon) or other batting (non-drape)

1½ yds of waxed cotton cord, Sewing thread, 

Quilting thread, optional

Optional, but very handy:  a Clover Bodkin tool for the cord.
