Four Patch Pillow Pattern 

This is a great project for using fabric scraps!

Material requirements:

Fabrics from 9 colour groups (we used shades of blues & greens).  You will need 4 or 5 assorted fabric pieces 

(*) from each of the 9 colour groups = total 41 pieces.

12” (30cm) WOF total of assorted light fabrics

Optional: ¼ yd fabric for border

10” (25cm) fabric for double pillow binding

21” (53cm) square of linen for the pillow backing

20” (50cm) square wadding/batting

20” (50cm) pillow pad or 18” (45cm) if no border.

Piecing thread

Quilting Thread for hand or machine

Zip, at least 20” but ideally a little longer

Fabric scraps for scrappy zip binding

(*) At least 2” by 4½” in size

Additionally:

The usual quilting tools (cutting mat, rotary cutter and quilt ruler). 

Especially a small square shape ruler, and a 24” long ruler will be helpful.
